Hey there, I'm Francine and I'm so glad that you're here. I have been working with children with special needs for over 15 years. Some of my past positions include group home manager for adults with a variety of disabilities, early start service coordinator, infant teacher, behavior technician and soon to be SLP!
Have you heard of Willowbrook: The last great disgrace? This documentary was filmed by Journalist Geraldo Rivera back in 1972 and shed light on the horrible conditions in which children with special needs were treated. Watching this documentary had a profound impact on me and I knew that this was the field that I wanted to dedicate my life to. I believe that every child can meet their potential given the opportunity and tools to succeed!
